Davis Street Espresso – visited March 2015
The home shop for Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters, Davis Street Espresso is a staple in the Dallas coffee community. It’s inviting, dimly lit atmosphere, it’s plethora of coffee gadgetry, and its host of top-notch baristas make Davis Street a mecca for any weary coffee sojourner. And if you’re looking to try something new and their horde of excellent coffees don’t scratch that itch, order their cascara, a beautifully aromatic tea made from the dried fruit of coffee cherries whose taste is reminiscent of pipe tobacco.

Zenzero Bakery and Cafe – visited April 22, 2015
I don’t like writing about this hidden gem in Coppell because every time I do, lunchtime gets more and more crowded, but for good reason. They constantly have a solid barista staff preparing an interesting selection of coffees (currently using Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters for espresso drinks, Denver’s Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters for pour over, and another rotating national roaster) and their food menu is delicious top to bottom.
